IT professional or Graphic Designer Needed:
The African American Policy Forum, a social justice think tank, is currently seeking an IT professional or graphic designer to work either in Los Angeles or New York City. Tasks include, design art for brochures, booklets, and other public education materials, website content management, postings, and revamping of pages and visuals, embedding rich media, managing web surveys, photo and video editing, general IT support. Experience with wordpress, dreamweaver, flash preferred. Must be able to minimumlly commit to 20 hrs a week working in office. Quick turn-around, video editing experience a plus, basic knowledge of animation and programming needed. Should be creative, committed to social justice issues, dependable, good people skills, excellent work habits, accustomed to working under time pressure and available to start ASAP.

The AAPF frequently seeks dedicated research and administrative interns. AAPF internships are a great way to gain valuable experience in the non-profit world, and to participate in regional, national, and international social justice campaigns. Interns’ responsibilities range from media monitoring projects, to outreach, to website maintenance and design, to office management. Administrative and/or research experience is preferred, but not required.
