Carlos Alberto Medeiros is a journalist by profession, with a B.A. in communication and publishing and an M.A. in juridical and social sciences from Fluminense Federal University (Rio de Janeiro). An activist since the 1970s in the struggle against racial inequality in Brazil and abroad, he is a member of IPCN, CIDAN, and IPEAFRO. He has produced or helped produce videos, articles, and books about racism and related issues and has been active in the recent affirmative action developments in Brazil.
